GREENEVILLE (WATE) – The mother of two of the three girls who were injured in Monday night’s Ferris wheel accident at the Greene County Fair has been posting updates to Facebook about her daughters’ conditions.

Kimmee Reynolds has also been sharing her candid thoughts about the investigation into what may have caused her daughters Kayla, 10, and Briley, 6, to fall more than 35 feet from the ride.

Reynolds shared a picture of Kayla in her hospital bed at Niswonger Children’s Hospital in Johnson City, doing an art project to stay busy. The brave girl suffered a broken arm, a broken tooth, and is worried about her little sister.

According to Reynolds’s post, Briley suffered a concussion and a small brain bleed. She is still not breathing on her own.

“She is on a vent but she is fighting. She’s trying to breathe over it, but earlier when they tried to remove the tubes and all, she couldn’t do it,” read her post.

Briley is still listed in critical condition.

“As much as I want her alert and dancing and being feisty, I want her to rest and feel better. One minute at a time,” she posted.

Reynolds also posted a message of forgiveness to Det. Capt. Tim Davis with the Greeneville Police Department regarding her earlier anger at his statement to the media that all three girls were alert and okay when that wasn’t the case.

“I know it was an optimistic outlook based on misinformation and I forgive you,” she posted.

Reynolds said Davis handled an interview on Nancy Grace’s television program much better, backing away from specifics on the victims.

She says she is grateful for the prayers for her two girls and the 16-year-old who was with them. Few details are available about the teen, except that her name is Charity and she has been downgraded from critical to stable condition.

A family friend has set up a GoFundMe page to help with medical expenses and other needs the Reynolds family may have.
