CROSSVILLE (WATE) – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is asking for those involved in a boating accident Friday on Tellico Lake to come forward.

TWRA says Zachary Gordon, 24, of Maryville, fell into the water while wakeboarding around 7 p.m. He was then hit by a personal watercraft carrying two passengers. Gordon was wearing a personal flotation device and only had minor injuries. The people on the personal watercraft checked on Gordon and went back to the access area with him to talk about the accident, but they left before information could be exchanged.

Gordon was taken to UT Medical Center where he was treated for a concussion and cuts to his side, shoulder and head.

The personal watercraft is described as a older 90s or early 2000s Sea-Doo with green or blue seats with cowling. It and another watercraft were being pulled by a full size black or dark gray Chevrolet pickup truck, possibly a 2003-2006 model.

The parties involved or anyone else who has information is asked to call TWRA at (931) 484-9571 or (800) 262-6704.
