United Way of Blount County presents Celebrity Gas Day

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Local celebrities will be pumping gas, washing windshields, and shining tires for tips. All of the money raised will benefit more than 50,000 Blount County residents in need. 5 cents of every gallon of gas sold will be donated in addition to tips.

United Way of Blount County is organizing the event that’s happening Friday, July 15 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. all around Maryville.

Among the celebrities are WATE 6 On Your side reporters Laura Halm and Mona Nair, you can see them at the E-Z Stop on Broadway.

Here is a full list of participating locations:

  • On-The-Run Exxon, 20208 East Hunt Road: Ashley Adams, Brad Jeffries and Michele Silva 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Curt Maggitt 1:30 – 2:30
  • E-Z Stop, 1764 W. Broadway Ave: WATE Laura Halm 7:30 – 8:30 a.m., WATE Mona Nair 9 – 10 a.m. State Representative Bob Ramsey 9 – 10:30 a.m. and Lance Coleman 9 – 10:30 a.m.
  • Kenjo, 1811 Sevierville Road: Mayor Ed Mitchell 7 – 8 a.m., Jimmy Holt 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., Mac 1 – 3 p.m., Glenn Jacobs 5 – 6 p.m.
  • E-Z Stop 2758 Alcoa Highway: Billy Kidd 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Jay Mac 3 – 5 p.m., Sammy Sawyer 9 – 11 a.m.
