Knox County man held on $1M bond, arrested for multiple charges

The suspect faces charges for kidnapping, aggravated assault and sex crimes.

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A Knoxville man was arrested after an investigation concerning kidnapping, aggravated assault and sex crimes.

Gregory Roberts, 35, was arrested by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit and Narcotics Division Wednesday at 11:25 p.m on New Street. The office says the arrest comes after an incident on July 9.

Roberts has a criminal history involving burglary, simple possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, and drug manufacturing, delivery, sale and possession.

The suspect is being held at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $1,000,000 bond.
