LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Lebanon officer’s visit to a neighborhood cookout turned into a viral video.
Officer Ariel Carrillo pulled up to the event with a fellow officer Saturday.
To everyone’s surprise, the officer, who also happens to be a competitive break dancer, started to show off his skills.
“They put me on the spot, pretty much they stopped playing their games and the kids came out and said, ‘Lets see, lets see,’” Officer Carrilo explained to News 2.
Britton Winfree pulled out his phone and taped Carrilo dancing. He later posted it on Facebook and it went viral.
In less than 24 hours, the post received more than 300,000 views and was shared over 8,000 times.
In his Facebook post, Winfree said, “I want to tell both of those officers thank you for setting such good examples for all the little kids that were in attendance today.”
Officer Carrillo says with all the things going on in the world, he wants people to know that police are here to serve and protect, but they also can have fun.
