ANAHEIM, Calif. (WATE) – Star Wars fans are finally getting a glimpse of the highly anticipated Star Wars-themed lands coming to Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.
Disney Parks Blog released a new image of the park, which broke ground in April. The image shows a thriving port, nestled between towering spires of rock, complete with markets, landing zones and majestic buildings.
“In these all-new lands, guests will be transported to a never-before-seen planet inhabited by humanoids, droids and many others,” according to the Disney Parks blog.
The Disney Parks Blog said the new artist rendering was posted on Monday on the fence along Big Thunder Trail in Frontierland, one of the entry points to this never-before-seen planet in the Star Wars galaxy. The Star Wars-themed lands will be the largest-ever single-themed land expansions at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.
“Look closely and you may find hints of some of the thrilling experiences that are coming – like the Millennium Falcon peeking out of one of the cargo bays, marking the location where guests will get the opportunity to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.”
Wrote Erin Glover with Disneyland Resort on their blog.
Back in January, the public got its first glimpse at the future of the park when the first renderings were released of what the Rivers of America will look once the “Star Wars”-themed land is complete.
