Newport Fire Department says the truck’s driver noticed a leak while driving on Interstate-40 westbound at exit 435 in Cocke County. Investigators believe it looked like a powdered titanium substance. HEPACO, an emergency response service, was also at the scene.

The roadway is now open. No injuries were reported.
