Knoxville police release identity of man pulled from Ft. Loudon Lake

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Knoxville Police Department identified the man who was pulled from Ft. Loudon Lake, yesterday.

They identified him as 25-year-old Tomas Skyler Ledford of Oak Ridge.

The call came in at 2:27 p.m.

According to the preliminary investigation, late last night a couple of male friends had gone to the bluffs overlooking the river where they consumed alcohol.

Around 3 a.m. this morning they became seperated.

After searching for his friend for a period of time, the male left the area.

This afternoon he returned to the are to search again. Boaters passing by on the river located the body of the missing 25-year-old male at the bottom of the cliff.

The body was transported to the forensics center where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Foul play is not expected, but alcohol is expected to be a contributing factor in the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
