KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A Knoxville man arrested Wednesday for allegedly soliciting a 13-year-old girl for sexual conduct has been fired from his job as a Knox County Schools custodian.
Dustin Dotson, 37, is charged with solicitation of a minor to engage in certain sexual conduct. The Knoxville Police Department says Dotson’s arrest followed an investigation by their Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Dotson worked at Inskip Elementary as a custodian since July 21, 2015. He started working for Knox County Public Schools in November 2014. On Thursday, Knox County Schools placed him on administrative leave with pay pending review for possible termination, before announcing Friday afternoon he has been terminated and he is no longer allowed on any school property.
Police say Dotson asked a 13-year-old girl to send him nude photos of herself and had other lewd and vulgar sexual communications.
He was arrested without incident and is being held on $50,000 bond.
