KNOXVILLE (WATE) – East Tennesseans will soon be raising money for the American Diabetes Association.
The organization’s Tour de Cure will be held June 11. The event has raised over $250 million since 1991 for the non-profit.
Supporters are able to mountain bike, kayak and hike. Events will be across the city starting at Knoxville Civic Coliseum, Meades Quarry and Ned McWherter Landing.
Registration for all participants will be from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.
Road cyclists will begin at 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. depending on the length of their route. Mountain bikers and hikers will start at the dirt parking lot near Meades Quarry at 10 a..m. Participants who will be kayaking or paddle boarding will start at 10 a.m. at Ned McWherter Landing.
