Rogersville man shoots grandson, accuses him of stealing pills

ROGERSVILLE (WATE) – A Rogersville man has been charged with second degree murder after Rogersville Police Department said he shot his grandson in the arm.

Thomas Eldon Langford has been charged after he told police he woke up at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday and the door to his camper was wide open. He said he went to take a Xanax that he had hidden, but the bottle was missing along with his cell phone.

When Langford walked in to the back of the house and saw KC Moseley he said he confronted him about the Xanax pills. After Moseley denied taking the pills, the two started fighting.

Then, police said Langford pulled out a pistol out of his pocket and shot Moseley in the upper part of his leg. Police arrived at around 2:11 a.m. and Moseley was taken by Hawkins County EMS to  Holston Valley Hospital Emergency Room for treatment.
