SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Anyone looking for a “super” fun event to attend Saturday morning should think about heading over to the Superheroes Hemophilia Walk and Spring Sprint to a Cure 5K in the Saratoga Spa State Park.
The Bleeding Disorders Association of Northeastern New York (BDANENY) is hosting the second annual event at the Columbia Pavilion in the Saratoga Spa State Park.
The event has so far raised over $50,000 for research, emergency funding, legislative assistance, and programming to educate the community about bleeding disorders.
Registration for the event opens at 9 a.m., with a 5K race beginning at 10 a.m. and a walk beginning at 10:30 a.m.
There is a registration fee of $35 for the 5K, but participation in the walk is free.
There will be live music, prizes, and activities for the kids to enjoy during the walk, including interacting with their favorite Superheroes. Lunch will be provided for registered runners and walkers.
