Teacher Appreciation Day 2016 freebies

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Dozens of retailers and restaurants are giving away free items or offering discounts in honor of teachers. Keep in mind, most businesses require a valid teacher ID to redeem these offers.

  • A.C. Moore is giving teachers 20 percent off their entire sale and regular price purchase with a state issued photo ID, School ID or pay stub, home school affidavit or certificate, preschool, daycare or art educator certificate.
  • Anne Taylor Loft gives teachers perks year round. Sign up for their Loft Loves Teachers program and get 15 percent off your full-price purchases.
  • Barnes and Noble is giving teachers 20 percent off the publisher’s list price every day on all purchases for classroom use and 25 percent off the publisher’s list price during Educator Appreciation Days.
  • Chipotle is offering a buy one, get one free deal on burritos, bowls, salads and tacos. This offer is valid at participating locations on Tuesday from 3 p.m. to close for in-restaurant customers. Educators may only get one free item.
  • McDonalds in Knoxville is working with their partnership schools
  • New York and Company is giving teachers 30 percent off their online and in-store purchases of $50 or more. Use the code “6223” for online orders.
  • J. Crew gives a 15 percent discount to all teachers and college students when they show a valid school ID at checkout. The offer is not valid for online shoppers.
  • Jo-Ann Fabrics gives 15 percent every perchase with the Jo-Ann Teacher Rewards Discount Card. Teachers can enroll online.
  • Michael’s gives teachers 15 percent off their purchase with this coupon. Some exclusions apply and the offer is only good in stores.
