Mayor Rogero attending Alabama convention aimed at eliminating gun violence

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – With the recent shooting deaths of Zaevion Dobson and Jajuan Latham, Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero will lead a “Save Our Sons” delegation at a conference in Alabama to help stop the violence in Knoxville.

Cities United is hosting is annual convention this week in Birmingham, Alabama. The national gathering of mayors and community leaders is designed to provide “technical assistance and capacity-building strategies to support efforts to eradicate gun violence in Black communities across the U.S.,” according to the event’s website.
