CROSSVILLE (WATE) – A Cumberland County woman has been charged with stealing from a woman for whom she was caretaker and power of attorney.
Janice Kay Reed is charged with theft over $60,000 after she was indicted Monday by the Cumberland County grand jury. She turned herself in and is being held on $75,000 bond.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says they were notified of the case on January 4 by District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway. They say their investigation uncovered Reed stole from the woman for whom she served as caretaker and power of attorney from April 2008 to August 2015.
