Escaped Hancock County inmate captured

SNEEDVILLE (WATE) – An escaped inmate was captured according to Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael D. Miller, 39 escaped with a second inmate, James E. Mullins. Mullins was captured early Wednesday morning.

Miller was being held on drug charges. James E. Mullins, 40, was being held on drug charges, aggravated burglary, forgery, theft of property and identity theft.

Investigators said the two inmates took a 2005 Ford Explorer, which belonged to the sheriff’s department. The vehicle was later found on War Creek Road 10 miles from Hancock County jail.
