ORANGE, Texas (WATE) – The National Guard had to provide assistance to residents in Orange, Texas because of severe flooding. Some people were forced to use kayaks to navigate the streets because of a creek that overflowed, and continues to rise.
Ricker Ladeoux say he is feeling discouraged, “It’s a little too close. Too close absolutely. I sat in a lawn chair yesterday hanging my head, feeling sorry for myself. The water came up to my windows… and I couldn’t do anything about it. New floors again.”
A horse was also rescued after becoming trapped in a fence. It is now being cared for at a local animal shelter.
