Fundraiser in Knoxville to help babies born drug dependent

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A Knoxville center dedicated to babies born drug-dependent and their mothers are holding a fundraiser this weekend.

Renaissance Recovery Group is hosting “Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice, Save a Life and Do It Twice,” emceed by WATE 6 On Your Side Anchor Lori Tucker. The event is a charity auction with food and live entertainment. Young mother Brittany Hudson will share the story of how she turned her life around. OB/GYN Dr. Michael Fields will also speak.

The event will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bearden Banquet Hall on Kingston Pike. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.
