MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – The Mobile 150 ran Sunday afternoon after a day long rain delay in Alabama.
Fans still turned out on Sunday to watch up-and-coming drivers take the track.
The race had only a few hiccups, with a wreck that halted the race for a little while and a couple of cautions for debris on the field.
Ultimately, 15-year-old Tyler Dippel took home top spot in his second-ever K&S race.
Dippel said he couldn’t believe the outcome of the race and was extremely happy.
Cincinnati Bengals player AJ McCarron attended the race, drawing attention and signing autographs and hanging out with drivers.
McCarron said racing has always been a part of his life and he enjoyed being on the track, even thinking about starting a race team of his own one day.
Mobile International Speedway hopes to host NASCAR again in the future.
