KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The John T. O’Connor Senior Center is hosting a pancake breakfast to raise money for the Daily Living Center. The event will be on March 4 from 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Guests will receive an all you can eat meal of pancakes, sausage and a variety of beverage options. Knoxville celebrities will make pancakes for guests at the center’s largest fundraiser. In the past, pancake flippers have included Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett and members of the WATE 6 On Your Side team.
The center provides services regarding health, physical fitness, recreation and education. Also, technology classes are available. The classes focus on how to use laptops, tablets, smart phones and e-readers.
The Daily Living Center provides adult day care services for those who are at least 60-years-old. The money from the breakfast will be used to create an internet cafe.
The center is open to anyone over the age of 50.
Tickets for the annual event are $5. The breakfast will be at 611 Winona Street.
