SWEETWATER (WATE) – Two men were taken to the hospital Tuesday night after being shot in Sweetwater and a woman has been charged with attempted homicide.

The Sweetwater Police Department says they were called to the area near Town and Country Store on Sweetwater Vonore Road around 10:38 p.m.

When officers arrived they found Curtis “Biff” Tracy lying in the driveway with a gunshot wound to the chest and Rocky Brown lying beside a truck in the carport area with a gunshot wound to the right thigh.

Both were taken to UT Medical Center. Brown was released the next day while Tracy remains in critical condition.

Police believe Tracy had come to the home to rob Brown, shot Brown in the leg and a struggle ensued. Angie Keyt, who was at the store, heard the shot and ran to the scuffle and hit Tracy several times with her fist. She then shot at Tracy with a pistol she carried.

She then ran back to her car and had left by the time officers arrived. She was arrested Friday.
