GREENEVILLE (WATE) – A man is charged with driving under the influence after overturning his vehicle in Greeneville.
Jeremiah Jackson was driving from Walmart when he turn onto Tusculum Blvd near East Andrew Johnson Highway on February 20. Investigators say Jackson believed a tractor trailer tire was on the roadway. However, no tire was found by investigators. Witnesses claim the driver lost control when turning. His car flipped over.
When arriving at the scene, investigators say Jackson appeared to be intoxicated by having slurred speech. He failed a sobriety test and was sent to Takoma Hospital for a blood test.
The suspect was not treated for injuries by the EMS, he claimed he was fine.
