Country music producer faces domestic assault charge

NASHVILLE (WKRN) – Country music producer Tony Brown faces a domestic assault charge, after police intervened at his home Monday night.

Brown has worked with country stars including George Strait, Reba McEntire and Vince Gill.

According to a police affidavit, Brown’s wife called police just after 11 p.m. saying Brown beat her up.

Her statement to police detailed a fight over a photo shoot planned for Tuesday. Police say she was assaulted, then called police and ran to lock herself in her car.

She was taken to St. Thomas for medical attention.

Brown was charged early Tuesday morning for domestic assault.

In 2013, Brown was arrested for domestic assault after a fight with his wife at their home. She reported that he pushed and choked her during the 2013 incident.
