KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Tennessee landed the commitment of Carlin Fils-Aime last summer thanks in large part to assistant coach Robert Gillespie.
The Naples High School player is one of the top running backs in the South. Coaches hope Fil-Aime will fill a big hole in the 2016 class and add a key offensive weapons to the backfield.
“Tennessee fans were scared to death this winter that Alvin Kamara was going to go ahead and go pro, but when he eventually does, Tennessee is going to need a guy that has some speed and burst and can play some slight-receiver, catch balls out of the back field and get up field in a hurry. That is going to be Carlin Fils-Aime,” said Inside Tennessee’s Danny Parker.
