KNOXVILLE (WATE) – East Tennessee native Austin Pope is one of Tennessee’s newest tight end commitments.
Austin Pope’s set of skills separate him from a majority of the South’s tight end prospects. He played for Sevier County High School before transferring over to Christian Academy of Knoxville.
Inside Tennessee’s Danny Parker said Pope played an advanced offense for high school football. Parker says CAK Head Coach Rusty Bradley used Austin Pope in the back-field, wide-receiver, tight end, special teams, linebacker and safety so he is a guy who has played all over the field.
