STARKVILLE, MS (WATE)- The streak of perfection is over for the Lady Vols. Tennessee lost to Mississippi State for the first time ever on Thursday night 65-63.
After a buzzer beater 3-point shot from Jordan Reynolds tied the game at 33 at the half, Tennessee came out swinging to open the third quarter.
The Lady Vols went on a 13-3 run to open the second half and take a 46-37 lead. But Tennessee’s offense stalled in the fourth quarter only producing 3 points. The Bulldogs were able to send the game to overtime where the Lady Vols offensive woes continued.
Dominique Dillingham and Victoria Vivians led the Bulldogs with 14 points each.
Jordan Reynolds led all scorers with 15 points.
