LONDON, Ky. (WATE) – A man on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s top 10 most wanted list for child rape and aggravated assault was arrested Thursday in Laurel County, Kentucky.
Rick James Brock, 51, was found hiding in his brother’s home on East Fifth Street in London behind a small refrigerator and panels.
Brock was wanted in Claiborne County on four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and four counts of rape of a child. Laurel County deputies say after he was arrested and taken to the sheriff’s office, he assaulted a deputy and tried to escape. Deputies had to physically subdue him.
Tuesday, Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said Brock plead guilty on new charges of resisting arrest, third degree assault with a police officer as a victim and third degree escape. He’s currently at the Laurel County detention center awaiting extradition back to Claiborne County.
Brock’s brother Mark Rasnick, 45, was also arrested and charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension and resisting arrest.
