SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Netflix is offering some help to parents this New Year’s Eve with an on-demand countdown to trick kids into going to bed early.
Kids don’t like to miss out on anything, which is why most kids want to stay up on NYE with all the adults to experience the exciting final moments of the year.
Now parents will be able to put their kids to bed early without any fuss about not watching the clock strike midnight.
The online streaming service is offering six different themed countdowns to ring in the new year.
Maybe Mom and Dad want to enjoy the countdown alone, or maybe they just want to go to bed early themselves. Either way, Netflix is here to help.
Netflix aired the countdown for the first time in 2014.
The Muse in Knoxville is also offering an early New Year’s countdown from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Party goers can get their picture taken in the photo booth, participate in educational activities and crafts throughout the building, enjoy refreshments provided by Kroger in the party room, and countdown to the new year at noon complete with a ball-drop, confetti and balloons.
