Made in Tennessee holiday gifts: Kristin Farley’s picks

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Are you still looking for a few last minute gifts? How about something Made in Tennessee?

Here are my picks for every budget and taste:

Swiftwick Socks are a stocking stuffer good for any age and price range. These top of the line socks are manufactured in the Chattanooga area and the company is based in Nashville. They were used in the Olympics, and frankly they are the only ones I will wear running since doing my original story on the company. For under $20, they are a great easy gift you can find online in in several local fitness stores.

For the foodie in your life, go with Benton’s Bacon from Madisonville. Allan Benton was recently named a James Beard Foundation Award recipient, one of the highest culinary honors. Of course, his bacon is on some of the top menus in the country.

If you’re looking for something a bit big bigger, or maybe more luxurious for those who love only the best, how about Colonel Littleton’s Leather from Lynnville, Tennessee? His one of a kind bags, portfolios and more will easily become a family heirloom.

What about the Vols fan on your list? The options are endless, but for the female fan, I like the new Glo Big Orange collection at the Gemstore in West Knox County. The store has the exclusive right to this color stone and tons of fun creations.

If you’re looking to give spirits this holiday, Ole Smoky Moonshine from Gatlinburg makes a great gift. It was the first legally made moonshine in Tennessee and it does come in egg nog flavor.
