KNOXVILLE (WATE) — Thanks to the help of local volunteers, one family now has a new place to call home.
Saturday marks the last day for the Habitat for Humanity build. It’s the organization’s 500th structure in Knoxville and soon to be the first every single-family home of Tim and Tateanna Lanxter and their four children.
Volunteers and community partners have been helping the Lanxters build the five-bedroom home and despite a few rainy days, work has remained on schedule.
WATE 6 On Your Side teamed up with Toyota of Knoxville, Lexus of Knoxville and Rocky Top Air for the construction.
