KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A man with an outstanding warrant in Blount County along with a juvenile were arrested and charged in connection to a stolen vehicle.
Itiq Green, 26, of Lousiville and a 17-year-old juvenile were taken into custody on Tuesday. Green was charged with auto theft, burglary and possession of cocaine. A 17-year-old arrested and charged with theft and burglary.
According to the initial investigation, the owner of a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro told Knoxville police his vehicle was stolen overnight from in front of his Jackson Avenue home.
His wallet, which contained cash, credit and debit cards were inside of the vehicle, officers said.
A few hours later, police located the Camaro on the third level of a Kingston Pike parking garage.
Officers were able to get the description of three suspects that were seen leaving the stolen vehicle. When they returned to the car, Green and the juvenile were taken into custody without incident. The third suspect escaped and left the scene on foot.
Officers found the owner’s stolen credit cards on Green and the juvenile.
Knoxville police also said Green was in possession of a small amount of cocaine at the time of arrest. An outstanding warrant for failure to appear out of Blount County was also on file for his arrest.
