Smoky Mountains Bulldog Rescue holding charity bike ride

LOUDON (WATE) – The Smoky Mountains Bulldog Rescue is holding a charity bike ride to support its rescue program.

The event will be October 17 starting at 8 a.m. at Loudon City Municipal Park. Rides of 50K (31 miles), 100K (62 miles) and 100 miles will be fully SAG supported with well stocked rest spots.

The group says the routes do not have any hard climbs and highlight the beauty of East Tennessee in the fall.

Race Day Events is organizing the rides and registration is online. The event will be rain or shine and will not be a race.
