Knoxville police search for 2 suspects in possible drug deal gone bad

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Knoxville Police Department is searching for two suspects wanted for shooting a Maryville man.

One man was transported to the hospital after a shooting on Saturday night at around 10:21 p.m. The shooting took place at 1721 Jourolman Avenue, near Western Avenue.

Officers said they found Collin Bollinger from Maryville with a gunshot wound on his shoulder. According to the preliminary investigation, Bollinger was traveling with a female friend to Knoxville to purchase illegal drugs, when two men approached him and attempted to rob him.

Police said the first suspect is a heavy-set, dark-skinned black male in his 20’s. His is about six feet tall with dreadlocks and was wearing a gray sweatsuit.  The second suspect was described as a thin-built medium-skinned black male in his teens. He is around five feet 10 inches tall with short hair.
