JAMESTOWN (WATE) – Twelve people were arrested last week as part of a saturation patrol conducted by the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department.
Charges on the 12 individuals arrested during the August 27 operation ranged from driving violations, DUIs, thefts and drug charges. During saturation patrols, officers look for multiple traffic violations such as seat belts, child safety restraints and DUIs.
Deputies say the purpose of saturation patrols is to make the roadways safer and remove drivers under the influence from the roadway.
Two of the suspects arrested during the operation were connected with two trailer thefts earlier in the month, according to deputies.
Reece Aytes and Owen Skinner were charged with theft over $1,000 among other charges.
