MADISONVILLE (WATE) – A man who had his license revoked for driving under the influence was arrested.
Daniel Bookout, 42, of Madisonville was charged with possession of meth for resale and driving on a revoked license, seventh offense. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said Bookout had six prior driving on a revoked license offenses.
A Monroe County sheriff’s deputy said he saw Bookout pull into a residence on Barnes Lane in a white Dodge Caravan. When the deputy pulled him over, he said he knew he had a revoked license, but he was just traveling back home from a friend’s house.
When deputies looked over his vehicle they found two prepackaged baggies containing a white powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine. His vehicle was seized and Bookout was transported to Monroe County jail.
