Knoxville needs votes in Top Towns Contest

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The City of Knoxville is asking for votes in an attempt to outdo Chattanooga in a Top Towns Contest in Blue Ridge Magazine.

The third round of voting began Monday. Knoxville already defeated Durham, North Carolina and Atlanta, but is now facing Chattanooga.

“Knoxville has received some great accolades in recent weeks. I would like to encourage everyone to take a minute to vote for Knoxville in this exciting competition against Chattanooga”, says Visit Knoxville President Kim Bumpas. “Our city is an amazing destination with something for everyone.”

Voting runs until 9 a.m. on Monday, August 31. People may go to the Blue Ridge Outdoors website and vote once per day.

The final championship round rungs for two weeks from Noon on August 31 to 9 a.m. on Monday, September 14. The magazine will feature all cities that were part of the contest in its November issue, but spotlight the winners in the small, medium and large categories.
