Tennessee Smokies to host fundraising game for Knox Area Rescue Mission

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The Tennessee Smokies will host “Home Run for the Homeless” to benefit KARM on Aug. 28.

A percentage of ticket prices purchased with the promo code “KARM” will be donated to Knox Area Rescue Ministries from the game against the Jacksonville Suns.

In addition, each ticket purchased with the special promo code will receive a special discounted rate. The game begins at 7 p.m. at the Tennessee Smokies Stadium in Sevierville.

The KARM Stores will also be on hand with bins outside the stadium entrances to receive donations of clothing and household items that can be sold in the KARM Stores. Each person who donates an item to the KARM Stores that evening will receive a voucher for a free hot dog at the stadium.

“We are so grateful to the Smokies for providing this opportunity to raise funds for those in need at KARM and to also raise awareness about the ministry and its service to the community,” said KARM President and CEO Burt Rosen.

To order tickets, visit the Smokies online. Group rates are also available on the website, using the promo code “KARM.”
