Early morning shooting at Knoxville hotel sends man to hospital

Dispatchers told WATE 6 On Your Side they received a call that someone had been shot at the Intown Suites Knoxville Extended Stay around 2 a.m. on Wedneday.

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – An early morning shooting at a Knoxville hotel sent one man to the hospital with non-threatening injuries.

Knoxville police officers responded to InTown Suties, located at 109 South Gallaher View Road, to investigate a shooting around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to the preliminary investigation, a verbal argument between 30-year-old Anthony Pierre Hall, II and the suspect escalated when the he pulled a handgun and shot Hall one time in the upper thigh.

Hall was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment of what police say are non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect left the scene.

A witness told Knoxville police she is Hall’s girlfriend, and was able to identify the suspect.

The suspect had recently been fired by the Hall’s girlfriend, according to the initial investigation. Hall and the suspect worked together in a construction business, police said.

Investigators are searching for the suspect.
