KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The Knoxville Police Department and Knoxville Fire Department are on the scene of a boating accident in the Holston Hills area of Knoxville.

The accident, on the Holston River near River Place Drive, was reported just before 3:15 p.m. on Holston Hills Drive.

The Knoxville Police Department says three people were pulled from the water after their boat overturned, but no one was hurt. Two male passengers were apparently teaching a female boater how to drive it, but the boat went out of control, hit a tree in the water and overturned.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is now investigating the accident.
