KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Webb School of Knoxville is holding its Webb on the Web broadcast journalism camp this week, allowing students entering fifth through eighth grades to learn the principles, techniques and craft of broadcast journalism.

Campers do this by a combination of lecture, demonstration, in-class and hands on production. Campers produce their own field reports and learn how to direct, shoot and sound record their own digital news products.

WATE 6 On Your Side Meteorologist Matt Hinkin visited the camp Wednesday and shared some tips about being a broadcast meteorologist, including how to work the blue or green wall.
