KANSAS CITY (WATE) – Kansas City Chiefs safety and former Vol Eric Berry has been cleared to practice with the team Wednesday after a battery of tests.
Berry was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in December 2014. He began treatments immediately and finished treatments in June. Berry underwent several rounds of testing and other procedures to make sure he was medically able according to KMBC. He received clearance late Tuesday.
Berry has played 60 games with the Chiefs since joining the team as a first-round draft pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Berry will take part in Wednesday morning’s practice with quarterbacks, rookies and injured players.
