Officer injured in Chattanooga shooting ‘doing well’

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WKRN) – The officer injured in Thursday’s shooting in Chattanooga is in “good spirits,” according to family.

The family of Dennis Pedigo, a 17 year veteran officer, sent out a statement Friday saying he is “doing well.”

“He and the family would like to thank the community for their thoughts and prayers,” read the statement. “Our family’s thoughts and prayers are with the families of the Marines that lost their lives yesterday.”

The family requested respect of privacy for Pedigo and his wife, Melanie. A GoFundMe page has been created for Pedigo.
