CHURCH HILL (WATE) – After deputies spotted two marijuana plants outside of a mobile home, two members of the Osborne family were arrested for growing marijuana.
Hawkins County Sheriff’s Department said Victoria Leigh Osborne, 40, and Cody Tyler Osborne, 20 were arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a dwelling for drug use. Victoria Leigh Osborne was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony after deputies found 2 loaded and one unloaded firearm at the mobile home.
Deputies said that officers with Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit responded to the mobile home, located at 229 Old Union Road on Thursday evening. It was later determined that Thomas Bevins Osborne left minutes before officers arrived. Bevins, a convicted felon, is probited from possessing firearms. Charges are pending against Osborne.
Cody Osborne was released on a $10,000 bond and Victoria Osborne was released on a $15,000 bond.
