Knoxville hosts 2 days of high-caliber bicycle races for Southeast Regional Series

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Amateur and elite cyclists throughout the southeast are headed to Knoxville for the Visit Knoxville Time Trial, Criterium and Road Race.

This event is set for July 11 and 12.

It is the third stop of the four-state Southeast Regional Series presented by BikeReg. Male, female and masters (ages 35 and over) cyclists will participate in this two-day event that offers SRS points, prizes and cash purse. The races also serve as a points competition for the Tennessee Bicycle Racing Association.

Admission is free for spectators both days. In addition to Visit Knoxville, Provision Sports Medicine is also a sponsor for the weekend. Registration fees for adults range from $20- 35 per race; athletes can race all three events. Individuals and teams are encouraged to register early before online registration closes Thursday, July 9, at 5 p.m. Registration the day of each race is available for an additional $10.

The Southeast Regional Series presented by BikeReg is the only road racing series for amateur and elite cycling teams which offers points competitions spanning multiple states. The series concludes in August in Greenville, S.C. when overall champions are crowned. Registration information, the complete SRS schedule and event updates are available online at
