Funeral service Friday for Loudon County girl killed by tree

A 3-year-old girl was killed when a tree fell on a trailer on Stockton Valley Road in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA (WATE) – The funeral for a 3-year-old girl that was killed when a tree fell on her house during a storm is Friday.

Natalie Alvarez, 3, was killed when a tree fell on her bedroom while she was sleeping, pinning her underneath according to Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider. The Alvarez family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Madisonville. The funeral for the little girl will start at 1:00 p.m.

Not only did the Alvarez family lose their daughter, but they also lost their home. An account has been set up for the Alvarez family at BB&T Bank in Loudon and Sweetwater.

Family members said they are thankful for prayers and many acts of kindness.
