SNEEDVILLE (WATE) – Funeral services have been set for a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper killed in a farming accident on Sunday.
Sergeant Joshua Mabe died on his family’s farm in Sneedville when a loader dropped as he was filling it with bales of hay.
He is survived by his wife Victoria, their 5-year-old daughter Addilyn, and both of his parents, Kenneth and Velma Mabe.
Visitation for Mabe will be held on June 8 at Hancock County High School in Sneedville from 5-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on June 9 at Cool Branch Baptist Church Sneedville at 2 p.m. A burial will immediately follow at Mabe Cemetery in the Stoney Gap area.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers to please make donations to Cool Branch Baptist Church Vacation Bible School.
A memorial fund has been set up by the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Department in honor of Mabe and his family at Citizens Bank locations in Morristown, Bean Station, Harrogate, Tazewell and New Tazewell. Donations can be made by cash or check in person or by mailing them to:
