PIGEON FORGE (WATE) – If you are looking for a job The Dollywood Company might have something for you. They are holding a series of job fairs this month that started on Wednesday. The company is hiring for Dollywood, Dollywood’s Splash Country and the new DreamMore Resort.
It is a busy time of year at Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country, and as more people come to visit the parks they need more employees. They have several hundred job openings right now, some year-round, others seaonal, full-time and part-time.
“We are ramping up for our summer season. We’re looking for anybody who wants to come out and just have a great time,” said HR Manager Zack Knudsen.
Kayla Parker came from Dandridge looking for a summer job at Splash Country.
“I’ve been going to Splash Country as a guest for I don’t even know how long, and I’m currently a lifeguard at a different park and I find it really fun,” said Parker.
Aquatics Team Leader Bri Russell says they need plenty of lifeguards right now, and she is hoping these job fairs will help.
“Be energetic, you’re happy, and go fill out that application and make sure you can swim if you want to be a lifeguard,” she said.
Throughout the company the jobs vary. They have everything from cooks, to attraction operators, to getting DreamMore Resort staffed and ready to open.
Available positions are posted at online. Interested applicants can apply at online or arrange an interview by calling (865-428-3386). Applicants also may walk in during Job Fair Fridays events at the Dollywood Human Resources Office between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
They encourage people of all ages to apply.
“We are hiring anyone 15 years of age and up so again it would be a great first job for somebody in high school, a great summer job for teachers,” said Knudsen.
The job fairs will be every Friday this month starting this week (June 5, 12, 19 and 26).
