Commemorative signs to be unveiled along State Route 1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – State and local officials will unveil commemorative signs marking State Route 1, Tennessee’s first priority road.

The Centennial Bus Tour will make stops in East Tennessee the week of June 1 for a three-day tour through Region 1, which is based in Knoxville.

The tour kicks off in Roane County and will end in Sullivan County on June 3.

Commissioner John Schroer, elected officials and transportation stakeholders will travel on bus to unveil the signs.
