KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A new craft brewery is coming to Knoxville. Crafty Bastard Brewery is modeled after nanobreweries you might see in places like Asheville.
The brewery is in the Fourth and Gill neighborhood of North Knoxville on Central Street. The head brewer who says he picked this particular location because his family loves the neighborhood and he thought the area could use a great “neighborhood bar.”
Owners Aaron McClain and Jen Parker say they specialize in unconventional, experimental craft beers
“We had been in the craft beer scene for a long time just as fans, just really really enjoying it. I had been brewing for a very long time and Jen as well. And we really really wanted to do something. We loved it enough to make it our career. And we had thought of trying to open like a craft beer store, maybe a bar, maybe a retail store, but it was actually Jen, my partner both in business and in life, who said why don’t we just do a brewery?” said McClain.
McClain say the plan is to be open in a month or two.
