KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The International Biscuit Festival will kick off a month of biscuits with the festival’s Biscuit Art Exhibition set to begin on Friday.
The exhibition will open from 5-9 p.m. at the Emporium Center Gallery and will last until May 31.
The showcase features artwork with a biscuit theme.
Artists 18 or older submit works of art created in 2D or 3D media.
The exhibition has been juried by Preston Farabow, Aespyre Metal Design at Ironwood Studios, and Claire Stigliani, associate professor of Drawing & Painting at the University of Tennessee.
One Best in Show award and two Merit awards will be presented on May 1. A total of $1,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.
Last year’s entries came from across the nation with the Best in Show award going to K. Henderson of Weed, New Mexico.
